He's Created plays on diffrent subject matters and has had his plays done around the world. My only Issue is that really, Every educational facility takes it to the first hand to deeply analize the inner workings of each character and how that affects all the charcaters and how that moves the play. Really, forget analyzing each character, revive shakespeares ghost, and lets have a little talk with him. Most of his plays have some one die in them or some rediculus situation happens. Although just about everything in entertainment has some of the same hits a shakespearean play. But, Some of these situations dont need character anaylsis but more Private Psychotherapy. But even looking back at society as a whole at that time also justifies a majority of it, but really were we cave people at that time, so less refined to these crude jokes and stupid quarrels? Maybe so. The Circles you can go in just thinkining about shakespeare.

WOAH.

ITS A TEXTADVENTURE ON HAMLET!
I am playing and its fun! They take the Characters from a popular series "Slayers" and Throw them into a Play of Hamlet! They keep the traditional text but they keep side situations going in a "contemporary" Feel. :3 The art is actually withstandable and so far the first few pages keep along with the flow of the play.

http://amethyst-angel.com/hamlet_eng.htm

Then in acting activites like we worked on today, of which i most enjoyed, to implement some of these situations in the class room. My most favorite one was
"37. Bring a CPR dummy to class and announce that it will be the teaching assistant for the semester. Assign it an office and office hours." Now this just screams do this at Corcoran. Just the initial reactions out of every one would be interesting to see. Mainly since most are used to the abnormal coming out of nowhere. This more so would be interesting to see implemented on the Freshman.
http://monster-island.org/tinashumor/humor/profs.html

As i was doing a barrel roll..

(Almost forgot to finish this!)
HARK! THERE BE A GHOST!
I've been looking at the links, and i came across the Reduced Shakespear Company videos and i've watched the Hamlet version. Just in the first minute, You get the word by word from the play, and slowly they turn their twist on Hamlet. I really enjoy the Ghost bits. And After watching this after reading i understand a bit more on whats going on within the play and the ideas on the inflictions and feelings through out the play- dispite it being Slightly Skewed.

Short sweet and to the point.

THEN, as i continued to roll, I found this. (duh) And that was because our consitiution set us up with that, and HAS been since forever. But, of course now with new legislation rapeing every part of our consitution, (although some bits have been for good) a new legislation called Orphan Works is going to release your art away from your owner ship after a time and essentially, let other people take it and make money off of it. I feel very strongly against this, all of my art works are my children- i would NEVER, EVER, let them be taken away that easily. Of course, big companys are set to make money of this legislation- because if you want to keep copyright of your art, you're going to have to get it registered and pay big money to do so. I feel very appaled and against this sort of legislation. I know the government is trying to look out for us, but this is rediculus- they're allowing big business to rule and obviously this isnt what our country was founded on, and most definately not based on THEFT.

http://mag.awn.com/index.php?ltype=pageone&article_no=3605&page=1

I really dont know what to tell you.

Children born at a very young age, some times are very pale, light and blue eyed, but as they grow- they change eye color, hair and skin tone as they're exposed to the world. Eye color though has a bit more variance. Eye color is something you cant change unlike your hair and skin tone. Unless you put in contacts- then the color would change but temporarily. But, eye colors have so much varience. Each persons eye color has a slight varience some are hybrids in mixing afew colors in one eye or a varience in one eye versus the other in having two diffrent colored eyes.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_JbmOo0k-Ydk/R_Uqoi9_j3I/AAAAAAAAACk/Erj3D9gtAv4/s320/BlackEyesAniridia.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5185097422056951666" />
as in Aniridia, there is no color in the eye, the people have essentially one large pupil and close to no iris. Heterochromia is the two diffrent kinds of irises. It can happen in several forms in having two compleatly seperate colors or in sectors. It can be in blocks or in stripes such as the one above. Those shifts in color is interesing because they usually have similar colors and are unnoticable untill you really look.
Also, in Albinism, those people end up having red eyes and have issues with their vision, but the color is very intense, and has no black pupil. In making prints you take the negatives- and use the light to either make those shadows and bright spots subdued or stronger making a more dynamic picture. despite the connotations that grey has, photography takes it and turns it around. Obviously with the issues that it can be done badly and the photo would fit into the traditional blah, black and white photo. But with the right lighting and combinations of shadows, an image can be brought out.
Even with color photography, the general idea still applies, lights and darks but now you also work with hues and tones to bring another level of image. Its really the lights and darks that change and modify the photograph and adjust the feel of it. with black and white, it leaves more to the imagination and allows for more expansion of the image.

Project on our own

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_JbmOo0k-Ydk/R8ZCjZ30RvI/AAAAAAAAACY/FP3C3hNWTtk/s320/_2211324.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5171894398089447154" />
Questionair:
1 Why did you choose this particular project?
This proposed project was much more involved with other people and incorporated a diffrent element incomparison to the painting on illustration board.
2 How did you pay for the materials needed for this project?
We sent off Sharon to go get paints- and we each paid an equal portion.
3 How did you arrive at its costs?
By Division and math? Hah, We figured out what we needed- mainly it was paints so thats where all of our costs went to.
4 How did you decide what to do to each other?
We looked at each person and saw what sort of thing we could work with on their body. Such as chris, we looked at his back and could see lots of major workings such as bones and major muscles. On bart, well.. its bart, we did what we wanted to. With me and Sharon we decided on stripes, and that was that.
5 What is the significance of this project to your major?
Color is important ingeneral to Fine Arts- I plan to do a bit of everything so all of the color theory and figureing how color will mix on diffrent surfaces and also
working with what you have is something thats apart of Fine arts.
6 Other comments
This was really fun to do, we normaly dont get to work together on projects in most classes, so to collaberate on something was amusing. Especially since every one was open to be painted and to the idea.

Refrences of blue?

Lots of groups and objects take on titles of blue. Bands such as The BLUE man group and the song by Eifel 65, Im Blue Each thing has a relationship to the color and themes. The blue man group paints them selves up in blue paint and use low deep "blue notes" in their drumming and its a very smooth preformance. Eifel 65'song, is very repetiative and has midtoned rhythms. Both have very blue feelings as their titles say, more smooth and rythmic not sad or depressed for that matter. As they discribe blue, its more of an energized and smooth sound.

A whole genra is named after the color blue- the blues. The blues is filled with deep, rich tones and lower notes off the minor scale, which in turn turns it into the blues minor scale.

There is also a movie called Bleu (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108394/) and it ecompases a general feeling of blue, depression sadness and the poster cover for the movie is blue as well.

Several things take on the title of blue and usually when used, they discribe what they are and are normally fitting to what they are.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue

And how do you feel about this?

While working on the hues and tints in yellow, i felt a major mood shift. It was dark, dismal, late and i was still doing homework- but as i was painting the Final rows of analogous colors my feelings shifted to a better lighter mood and enjoying doing the homework. Most times if you're surrounded by a certain color or working with it- your mood shifts and your work changes as well.
I've read several articles that talk about the chemical changes that happens in your brain due to different out side stimuli. One of which was mainly color- Depending in what color room your in, it would affect the way you interact and work. Blues are normally calming, Yellows are vibrant and energizing, reds are passionate and the colors follow the typical feelings.
Theres also the ideas of the way you are and the way you feel towards the world. If you like certain colors your outlook follows that guide line. Such as Blue, optimistic and layed back usually follow that characteristics.

Color Ey?

In the past ive done various color wheels, with pencils, markers, crayons and found objects- But really this is the first time ive done it with paint. The results were actually quite interesting. The Purple didnt come out quite purple but a rougeish-blue color not your typical purple. Also, my color wheel was quite divided in half by a dark and light side.
When ive done color wheels with pencils, you have the premade colors done by that manufacturer and you dont have to worry about, you know what color you're going to get. Paint is unpredictable. Because its so maluable you need to have a steady hand and a good eye for mixing. I also noticed that between colored pencils and paints, each company and each lot of colors has a slight variant. It depends on the what chemicals and the mixes that they do in that lot. In comparison to colored pencils, most brands their colors stay the same through time and productions. There isn't too much that varies between them. But the only issue is theres less color customization with colored pencils than with paint. Theres hundreds of color hues you can get with paint than with the pencils. You have a harder time mixing the waxy base versus a liquid base.

New year, New Color!

Color, color everywhere! Depicts red as a dark evil color, connection to satan and obviously no love for puppies.

The Pictures them selves stand strong, "Love puppy" Has the feeling of love- a lighter color scheme. Red white and and a large heart give the feeling of light lovely feelings, not to mention the puppy just makes it all the more cuter. "Jersey Devil" Red and Black combine to give the darker feel and over all idea of evil or bad(ass-ness).

Color can easily contradict its self, by its several meanings and uses through out daily life and marketing too.

Squareish patterned lines.

Doing the Sol Lewitt piece, following directions in a specific manner, although it contains random qualities produces an interesting piece. The Lines seem like they want to connect and make closed figure patterns, but because the line options are chosen at random, there isn't very much connection. Whats nice about Sol Lewitt installations is that there are different results every time depending on each persons interpretation of each person. I was expecting a bigger project. Ive worked on larger Sol Lewitt installations and this was very uneventful for me. But Half of the time i barely made one. Am i just funny? or funny looking? Probably. I'm too short, my feet dangle from the chair. I tend to cross my feet always while sitting in a chair. I wonder why? Maybe from all the years of sitting in the posture chairs and not being able to put my feet on the ground. Hm. I like to run after things. Kind of like a kitten after a butterfly. My hair does this wonky wave on the left side something random i noticed while looking in the mirror. I think its because of my moms wavey hair and my dads straight hair. Would explain. I go on strange rants and interesting dialogues, i mean, they all make sence, but I don't speak fluidly, or at least of what it seems. My shoulder hurts, it always has for a while. I love the idea of infinity, its kinda cool to see how i was able to still see Amanda in INFINITYVISION. I cant draw infinity symbols. I noticed that i walk up the stairs with my left foot pushing me up, that would make sence on why theres so much stress on that side of my hip. I crack my hands a lot. I tend to space out quite a bit while writing. I wonder a lot. With the Bride, he thinks that its a sexual comedy. My question is, how in the world he thinks that's in any way sexual. Its more mechanical and robotic, but i assure you NO SEX. NONE. ZILCH. NINE. NONE. This is more abstinent than a nun! Although, i do see how he did pave the way for pop, minimal, performance, and Kinetic art. I mean, the way it moves is actually quite interesting. But where ever he thinks he can get away with calling his art sexual? Off the pipe my friend. I ended up doing it twice-more because i couldn't get it right. But i got it, it actually better that i had expected. Then my drawing came out kinda neat- although im not really sure if it came out to be Adjacent. I wanna say it did. I had about four or five diffrent values, If you count the spaces inbetween. I liked the overal compsition of the swirls and general curves. Im not really sure why i had no straight lines though.

String Thangs.

That was bloody fun!

Anyways, Drawing the Acoridon was amusing and interesting to see the diffrence of shapes, plus just drawing with sharpies is just plain fun. Most of the drawing was done just haphazardly and was what ever was on my mind. It was actually really neat looking in the end, and i dont think i could get that feeling or awsomeness again.

The String Project was AWSOME fun. Just throwing the string around, climbing over chairs and tables, going under people and tables and just the various things i did with the string was really amusing. I really had no system of going around with the string, just where ever i thaught the web needed more string. I saw an awsome web at some points before either i or some one else destroyed it, and that was nifty keen. I definately hope, if we were to do this again, is to not let ANY ONE tie them selves up, more just because that took WAY TOO LONG to untangle.

Otherwise, THAT WAS FUN!!! :D

Lines and Shapes and stuff

<img style="display:block; Two of these men are dressed in formal garb of the 1700's. The man on the right, is a traveler and he has a walking stick. They look as if they're on a country side road and conversing on this and that. The colors are subdued and very solid. The image is symetrical, the fore/background division is in the middle, theres four characters on the page, and both groupings take up equal amounts of relative space.

The image has a very casual feel, more the colors give it away and the way the men stand infront of the traveler. It flows together well and the colours are harmonizing with eachother. The way the characters are standing, it allows the eye to flow with them and keeps your attention.

This image is pleasing to the eye and keeps you there, i really like the way the characters have this interaction. The colours flow very well together and the basics of the image just keep it simple and good.
