Thinkin' about this makes my brain hurt. :<

Shakespeare understood manythings about life and everything that floats aobut it. He's Created plays on diffrent subject matters and has had his plays done around the world. My only Issue is that really, Every educational facility takes it to the first hand to deeply analize the inner workings of each character and how that affects all the charcaters and how that moves the play. Really, forget analyzing each character, revive shakespeares ghost, and lets have a little talk with him. Most of his plays have some one die in them or some rediculus situation happens. Although just about everything in entertainment has some of the same hits a shakespearean play. But, Some of these situations dont need character anaylsis but more Private Psychotherapy. But even looking back at society as a whole at that time also justifies a majority of it, but really were we cave people at that time, so less refined to these crude jokes and stupid quarrels? Maybe so. The Circles you can go in just thinkining about shakespeare.

A Painting of Ophelia. This is one the primary things ive found art wise related to hamlet. Ophelia seems to be the one that was painted the most among all of the artists and most of the paintings happen to be of Ophelia's final scene.

Here, the author took an IRC chat and made it into a version of Hamlet. It was amusing and great for some chuckles.

This page, has alot of good theory on Opheila and her relationship with hamlet. I felt i understood Ophelia so much more after reading through these pages.
After Writing on Ophelia, i even feel a little crazyer. How about a run through the Tulips?

Just a few things here and there!

Well, I managed to stumble across another Manga- One web fanbased! They take the Characters from a popular series "Slayers" and Throw them into a Play of Hamlet! They keep the traditional text but they keep side situations going in a "contemporary" Feel. :3 The art is actually withstandable and so far the first few pages keep along with the flow of the play.

Then in acting activites like we worked on today, of which i most enjoyed, to implement some of these situations in the class room. My most favorite one was
"37. Bring a CPR dummy to class and announce that it will be the teaching assistant for the semester. Assign it an office and office hours." Now this just screams do this at Corcoran. Just the initial reactions out of every one would be interesting to see. Mainly since most are used to the abnormal coming out of nowhere. This more so would be interesting to see implemented on the Freshman.

As i was doing a barrel roll..

(Almost forgot to finish this!)
HARK! THERE BE A GHOST!
I've been looking at the links, and i came across the Reduced Shakespear Company videos and i've watched the Hamlet version. Just in the first minute, You get the word by word from the play, and slowly they turn their twist on Hamlet. I really enjoy the Ghost bits. And After watching this after reading i understand a bit more on whats going on within the play and the ideas on the inflictions and feelings through out the play- dispite it being Slightly Skewed.

Short sweet and to the point.

THEN, as i continued to roll, I found this. Hamlet by Schwarzeneger. Like we were talking about during class- Depending which way the director goes it could be more sissy and dramatic or dramatic and angry. This form would be the latter. BUT I WOULD DEFINATELY PAY TO SEE THAT!!

Its Hamlet time!

While i was on my quest for searching through our Corchamlet page- I noticed the small picture. It was a Manga of Hamlet. I am definately into Manga and it was worth a shot to look for it. Seems at it hasnt reached state side since its published in the UK. But, I did find this OTHER manga thats on Hamlet.

I've read the first few pages so far, but I like the art and hopefully it will go a bit more indepth on Hamlet.

Thats all for now- This is the Hamjournal.

You're telling me this now?!

Copyrights and you:

As an artist, you have rights and ownership of your own art the moment you make it until forever. (duh) And that was because our consitiution set us up with that, and HAS been since forever. But, of course now with new legislation rapeing every part of our consitution, (although some bits have been for good) a new legislation called Orphan Works is going to release your art away from your owner ship after a time and essentially, let other people take it and make money off of it. I feel very strongly against this, all of my art works are my children- i would NEVER, EVER, let them be taken away that easily. Of course, big companys are set to make money of this legislation- because if you want to keep copyright of your art, you're going to have to get it registered and pay big money to do so. I feel very appaled and against this sort of legislation. I know the government is trying to look out for us, but this is rediculus- they're allowing big business to rule and obviously this isnt what our country was founded on, and most definately not based on THEFT.
